Macallan, Edition No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6.
Edition No. 1 (70cl): This was the first release in a planned annual limited release of the Edition Series. Mature in 58% buttocks, 23% hogsheads, and 19% puncheons.
Edition No. 2 (70 cl): This is the second release of the Edition range from Macallan. A collaboration between master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno and the legendary Spanish chefs Joan, Josep, and Jordi Roca. Whose restaurant, the El Celler de Can Roca, was named the best restaurant in the world twice by Restaurant magazine. This single malt was distilled from a blend of sherry puncheons, butts, and refill hogsheads.
Edition No. 3 (70 cl): This is the third release of the Edition range from Macallan. A collaboration between Bob Dalgarno, master whisky maker, and Roja Dove, master perfumer.
The distinctive and dynamic character of Edition No. 3 has been shaped not only by the use of European and American oak casks, which combine flavors to reflect each of their distinctive personalities in the resulting whisky.
Edition No.4 70 cl.: The fourth release from Macallan in the Edition series, this Speyside single malt is a celebration of the distillery’s whisky-making heritage, combining a unique selection of oak cask styles. Edition No. 4 reflects the craftsmanship and pioneering design of the new magnificent Macallan Distillery.
Edition No. 5 (70cl): The Macallan Edition No. 5 celebrates The Macallan’s extensive natural color spectrum and the intricate whisky-making process in partnership with masters at the Pantone Color InstituteTM to create a unique shade of purple that features on the packaging.
The Macallan Edition No. 6 70cl takes inspiration from the beautiful landscape surrounding the distillery and warehouses. Flowing through the estate is the legendary River Spey, which is home to endangered wild Atlantic salmon, which are at risk of becoming an endangered species. Macallan is working with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to help raise awareness of this and to support vital conservation work on the Spey and beyond.
