Macallan 18-Year-Old Color Collection Single Malt Whisky
Macallan 18-Year-Old Color Collection The 18-year-old single malt, part of Macallan’s Color Collection, was matured in American oak casks, enhanced with a delicate touch of European wood, and seasoned with sherry wine from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
The Color Collection, comprising 12, 15, 18, 21, and 30-year-old expressions, is a celebration of The Macallan’s commitment to natural color and sherry seasoning.
The colors of Jerez are reflected in this 18-year-old expression by artist and graphic designer David Carson, who captured the warmth of the evening sun as it shines on the “teja” tiles on the roofs of the bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera against a backdrop of vineyards with chalk-white soil, the perfect environment to enjoy a dram of The Macallan.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Clementine, panna cotta, baked apples with sultanas, sweet oak.
Taste: vanilla sponge, milk chocolate with orange, citrus peel, oak, and honeycomb.
Finish: medium with sweet oak and orange.
