A rare single cask bottling from Velier’s Habitation Velier Pure Single Rum range. Ex-bourbon barrel #41 was specially selected for an exclusive La Maison du Whisky bottling in 2019. The distillery’s heritage at Hampden Estate and Velier’s bottling craftsmanship
Distilled in 2010 in a double retort pot still, it was fully matured for nine years at the Hampden Distillery. It marks the return of the cask mark, a popular addition to the Velier 70th Anniversary Range in 2017.
Velier was founded in Genoa in 1947 as an importer and distributor of wine and spirits. In 1992, they selected their first single cask whiskies, which were bottled by Signatory Vintage. They have since become one of the most collectible brands in the industry. Luca Gargano’s involvement with the company has also established Velier as a leading authority on collectible rum.

The bottles were very well packaged, and came quite quickly. I have been unable to find this particular brand anywhere else so I was pleased to see it here, will use it again.
