The Reserve of Jefferson A complicated combination of three distinct bourbons, each aged for up to twenty years and proofed with Kentucky limestone water, Very Old Bourbon is created from a mash of corn, rye, and malted barley. Each batch of Jefferson’s Reserve is prepared from only 8 to 12 barrels, whereas most small batch bourbons are blended from 200 to 300 distinct casks. This is why the Zoellers refer to their bottling process as “ridiculously small batch.” Zoeller compares the difference to “making dinner for eight guests instead of eighty.” You are able to provide a fantastic product with the subtleties you are aiming for.”

Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon is sophisticated, elegant, and multifaceted, much like Thomas Jefferson. It starts out with a scent of mild spices, dried fruits, and smooth, creamy vanilla. As it opens up, it reveals notes of toffee, roasted corn, and tobacco, and ends with a lingering, dry feel. Jefferson’s Reserve won the Gold Medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Beverage Testing Institute score of 94 points.

About Jefferson’s 

Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father, Chet, a famed Bourbon historian. They were continuing a family tradition that goes back to Trey’s 8th generation grandmother, who was arrested in 1799 for the “production and sales of spirituous liquors.” To personify the brand, they chose Thomas Jefferson, known for his curiosity and experimental spirit.
