Dalmore 21 is a highly limited Highland single malt whisky, with just 1,200 bottles being supplied to the UK from a small 8,000 bottle release. Presented in a gorgeous limited edition display box, this single malt was first aged for 10 years in American oak before a final finish in 30-year-old first-fill Gonzalez Byass Matusalen Oloroso sherry butts.

Its extra years of ageing are enfolded in fragrant sherry oak, which gives it a higher strength of 43.8%. They also imbue it with a sumptuously subtle complexity of flavor and aroma.

On the nose, savour the citrus sweetness of Sanguinello blood oranges from Seville, evolving into rich notes of bitter dark chocolate and roasted Colombian coffee and the warm scent of Madagascar vanilla pods.

On the palate, there’s sweet liquorice, black forest fruits, roast walnuts, and hints of Christmas cake marzipan.

The lingering finish provides layers of peach, ginseng, pear tarte tatin, and Sanguinello blood orange.

This perfect spirit has been composed in a symphony of idiosyncratic copper stills and hand-finished in the exquisite sherry wood of rare, 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso casks that are exclusive to The Dalmore. Following the spirit’s decades-long sleep, it is brought into the shining light, ready to release its antique qualities into the present with every precious drop.
