Barton Reserve 90 Proof 1960s (Volume 0.757L)
90 Proof Barton 1960s Bourbon Reserve Barton is a high-quality American whiskey developed in the 1960s by the Barton distillery. The bourbon was made in the classic bourbon way, using at least 51 percent corn in the grain blend, along with barley and rye.
Following the combining of the grains, the mixture is ground and mixed with water to make mash, which is then boiled to initiate fermentation. The fermented mash is next distilled in copper stills to generate the base alcohol, which is then matured in charred American white oak barrels to give the bourbon its unique amber color and notes of vanilla and caramel.
Barton 1960s Bourbon Reserve 90 Proof The Barton 1960s has a deep amber color with golden highlights. On the nose, there are notes of vanilla, caramel, honey, toffee, and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. In the mouth, the bourbon is smooth and round, with notes of caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, and sweet wood. The alcohol content of bourbon is 90 proof, or about 45 percent alcohol, which contributes to the bourbon’s good structure and long, lingering finish.
