Springbank 21-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky, 2023 Release
This is the Springbank 21-Year-Old’s 2023 release. For the first time since 2005, the distillery created a 21-year-old whisky when it released the Springbank 21 gold boxed edition in 2012. It was aged for 21 years in a mixture of 15% Port, 45% Sherry, 20% Rum, and 45% Bourbon.
3,600 bottles in total were released.
Tasting Notes
Nose: notes of citrus zest, pineapple upside-down cake, and fudge. notes of baked gam and tomato vine leaves, with subtle peat smoke coming through on the nose.
Taste: tropical influence, ripe mango, dried coconut, and papaya, opening up to notes of liquorice, cola syrup, digestive biscuits, honey, and a slight earthiness.
Finish: long with notes of orange zest, campfire embers, and caramel.
