2022 Midleton: Very Rare Vintage Release
The 2022 vintage Midleton Very Rare blended Irish whiskey is an expertly crafted combination of hand-selected single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys aged between 12 and 33 years in lightly charred ex-bourbon barrels. Aromas of candied apple, nutmeg, white pepper, oranges, vanilla, toasted oak, and hazelnut chocolate fill the nose, complemented by notes of caramelized apples, orange zest, rich cereals, peppery oak, crème brûlée, and lively potstill spice throughout the palate.
Because of the particular nature of the selecting process, each year’s vintage has its own distinct character. The Midleton Very Rare series is not blended like other whiskeys. The Master Distiller’s strict ritual and expertise result in tiny but discernible variations throughout the years. Midleton Very Rare was founded in 1984 as an example of Irish Whiskey quality, and it has held that position ever since. This whiskey is unique due to the enchantment of Midleton Distillery, as well as the highest quality liquid and oak. Each vintage’s restricted quantity precede it.
