Cowboy Bourbon has twice been named American Whiskey of the Year by Jim Murray, a world-renowned whisky specialist. It’s a cask-aged, uncut and unfiltered bourbon with a spicy scent with flavors of caramel, vanilla, and stone fruit.

The initial taste is like a burst of cool desert air. The rest of the drinking experience is like to riding shotgun on a hot summer day cattle drive. The finish is spicy and lingering, making you want another sip. Each bottle is individually handcrafted, numbered, and wax-sealed with the Garrison Brothers engraved branding iron.

It’s ambrosia at its finest. Cowboy Bourbon, unlike Small Batch, is sourced from Dan and Donnis’ preferred barrels. They are aged for a few years before being bottled at cask strength, uncut and unfiltered.

Sweet pipe tobacco, full-grain leather, and freshly made banana nut bread. Wildflower honey and sparkling plum soda provide floral beginning scents. Warm raspberry chocolate pie with ganache drizzled on top. For a sweet end, chocolate-covered Luxardo cherries are matched with excellent armagnac. A velvety-smooth, faultless sipper with a lot of 131.3-proof heat.

Tasting Notes for Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon

The nose rolls in sweetly and gently. Reminiscent of a new pair of hand-made leather boots. Or maybe monkey bread. Finishes subtly with spring jasmine. Dark as cacao chocolate with the fattest legs ever seen slowly rolling home. Syrupy Dublin Dr. Pepper and brown sugar on the center of the tongue Blackstrap molasses.
