Realized in collaboration with Master Perfumer Roja Dove, Edition No. 3 is an intriguing combination of two types of oak casks—European and American. Together, these casks create a distinctive single malt with a rich and fruity character that balances the classic flavors of The Macallan with citrus, vanilla, florals, and fresh cut oak.
Macallan Edition No.3 Scotch Tasting Notes
Colour : Barley Gold
Palate : Fresh fruit, vanilla and rich fruit cake with suggestions of apricot, pear and crisp green apple. Hints of ginger and cinnamon are balanced with a light, resinous oak final.
Nose : Reminiscent of a fine fragrance, the nose leads with distinctive vanilla, fresh-cut oak and delicate florals. While ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg flit in and out of the picture, Burnished oak delivers a soft ending.
Finish : The finish is long, sweet, and fruity, leaving a lasting impression on the senses.
