Dalmore King Alexander III Scotch Whiskey 750ml
In 1263, Colin of Kintail, chief of the Mackenzie clan, made the courageous decision to intervene when a stag attacked King Alexander III of Scotland. In gratitude for sparing his life, the King bestowed the 12-pointed Royal Stag seal upon the Mackenzie Clan.
When the Mackenzies took control of the Dalmore distillery in 1867, they kept this gesture in mind and proudly placed the 12-pointed Royal Stag on their bottles. Even today, the stag enhances every container of The Dalmore.
To honor the Mackenzies’ pioneering spirit, our Master Distiller meticulously crafted the world’s first single malt aged in a unique set of six containers for an extraordinary achievement. Spirits aged in ex-whisky barrels, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala barrels, port casks, and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels are blended to create a uniquely complex yet smooth single malt. This is a prime example of overcoming imagination and a lifetime of experience.
