This is the 2022 release of Ardbeg’s 19-year-old Traigh Bhan. This is batch 4. This 19-year-old whisky epitomizes an aged Ardbeg. Inspired by Islay’s Traigh Bhan beach, this batch is more mentholated and herbal with an intense smoky finish. It is non-chill filtered at 46.2% ABV.

The flavor profile of Ardbeg Traigh Bhan varies subtly from year to year. Batch 4 features a higher proportion of Oloroso sherry casks than previous releases.

Nose: aromas of pine and fennel with citrus notes (lime).

Palate: greedy with smoky and dark chocolate notes, but also creamy with caramel, raisins, and hazelnut notes.

Finish: Sweet and peat collide with creamy vanilla fudge, dark cocoa powder, and a warm, woody clove tingle. a sharp, intense, and satisfyingly long finish.
