Who makes Bunnahabhain?
Bunnahabhain Distillery was built in 1880/1881 by a partnership that was incorporated in 1882 as the Islay Distillery Co. and later amalgamated with Wm. Grant & Co. (Glenrothes-GGlenlivet) to form Highland Distillers, the present owners.
Where is Bunnahabhain Whisky from?
Islay
Bunnahabhain is one of the milder single malt Islay whiskies available, and its taste varies greatly from other spirits to be found on the island of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland. The name Bunnahabhain is an anglicization of Bun na h-Abhainne, Scottish Gaelic for Mouth of the River.
What is Bunnahabhain known for?
While Islay is known for its peated whisky, Bunnahabhain stands out with its signature unpeated style. With the tallest stills on the island and the only distillery to use water from a natural spring, Bunnahabhain is known for its sherried, delicate, complex, and unpeated single malt.
