The second release of Mackmyra Brukswhisky DLX is a smoky, rich Swedish single malt that has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso sherry and Swedish oak casks for up to 11 years in the Bodås Mine warehouse. Aromas of peat smoke, honey, vanilla, juicy pears, raisins, orange and toast fill the nose, complemented by notes of juniper, vanilla caramel, pears, orange, peat smoke, toasted oak, tobacco leaves and garden herbs throughout the palate.

I mean, it’s a nice light whisky sure, but lacks character for what you are paying. Nothing really stands out. I’ve had £20 whisky with much more character. Probably a good(ish) beginner whisky although there are cheaper (and better) options.
