Pierrier –
Astounding. Long, maritime-ashy. A nice vanilla sweetness with some fruit.
. One of my top picks.
Yatu –
With water: no, that one almost a little too weak on the chest
Conclusion: I have rarely found so much intense lemon in a whisky, which makes it very unusual for me, you can also tell it’s age. But considering the occasion (175 years of CI), the price and the expectations it aroused, it is somehow disappointing.
